no i like the flowmaster pop.. but its the sound like metal vibrating on metal.. you have to have the volume up kinda high to hear it...
my dialup doesn't allow me to see anything that moves and it is also deaf... the only thing i can do is comment on still pictures. people on here do different things for different reasons...you read the neg. in my comment. ...:Handshake...
Harold, put a set of flows on a guys car that had headers and he said they were too loud. so he put a set of turbos in front of them and he love it... ...Frank...
I think it sounds better with the Flowmaster too . Kind of like my old Chevy Beretta sounded like with a 3 chamber Flowmaster with an oval Meg on it. Here is an idea that might make it sound a little different. Split the exhaust manifold and run true duals on it. My dad always talks about how he split the manifold and ran glasspacks on his '47 Chevy pick-up back in the 60's and it purred with a little rumble and pop .
She finally woke up!!! Glasspacks definitely didn't do it for me on that clip. The Flows sound a bit better, but I honestly think it will sound better after you add two more cylinders... I cannot hear the "errr" you guys are talking about. When I used to put glasspacks on my older 4 and 6 cylinder cars, I mounted them way up front, or under the front seat. Then long tubes out the back. It toned down the poppy raspy sound that you get from mounting the muffler in the back with a short exhaust pipe (or dumps, like mine). It kept the GGGRRRRR but lost the VW raspiness... Here is what 2 more cylinders will sound like for you...These are dumped so they still have the rasp... http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/jpgs/44outsidemp3.mp3 http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/jpgs/super44installed.mp3
the flows sound better in person with my car.. i know it will never sound like a V8 but i love that it makes people think, wtf does he got in that? hahaha, one guy on streetfire asked if i had a BMW inline six in my car cause he never heard of a ford inline six..
