sputter..

    Im guessing there are many thigns that could be at fault for this... but ill ask.

    When stopped at a light or going slow then i push the gas a lil hard... the car sputters... like it doesnt go "vroooooom"
    its more like "vroo oo o o oo oo mm"

    only thing i done recently was changed the plugs.. could it be firing bad? but i had them the correct gap and all.

    Any suggestions would be great. Leave for college in 12 days and its gonna be sittin in driveway untill next semester when i take it... or when i sell it , and buy a more gas effiecient car...

    blue 70 two door
    Accelerator pump on the carb. check that bad boy, our four door does the same thing. Good Luck!

    1974 Maverick I bought for $500 8 years ago when I was 16. Since then I have invested $30,000 into it.
    Good call Todd, I would had guesed the samething. Had same problems with mine. Thom
