It's like these two pony cars have started competing for mindshare before a single one's been built. All the better for us, however, as in addition to the Camaro testers that were just caught on camera, we also get to glimpse the new Mustang GT that will arrive a year after the new bow tie brawler. Ford is playing it smart and will steal some of the Camaro's (and Dodge Challenger's) limelight with this mid-cycle enhancement when it appears in late 2009 as a 2010 model. From these spy shots, however, we can see that the changes are more than a nip/tuck. The 2010 Mustang will sport all-new front and rear fascias, so expect new headlights, a new grille, new taillights, etc. In fact, from what we can see of the high-tech looking headlights on this tester, it appears that the front-end will be carrying design cues from the Guigiaro Mustang Concept, which is a good thing. I must be the only one out there who thinks that Guigiaro car is freakin' hideous, especially the front end. There is no way in hell I would own a car that looked like that.
Gotta love that leather bra... Actually, that car looks more like that Infinity version of the 350Z...
no jamie, your not alone, my whole family despises that look. they need to keep it under wraps... at a casual glance, it looks like a charger, then you see the real absurdity of it.
Why not go for the trifecta? 1) Ford has not built a nice looking truck since '97. 2) They discontinue their best selling model of all time only to "revive" the name by rebadging the milquetoast 500. 3) It would make perfect sense for Ford to screw up the best looking Mustang body style since 1993.
You are absolutely correct, except I think the rear is the ugliest part! I pray Ford doesn't ruin a good thing.
