The title of this thread keeps reminding me how much I like pickles... I can eat like an entire jar of pickles in one sitting. I'm seriously starting to get a craving for them now..

Sorry, good luck in whatever you do. :) 500 seems a little steep, but I guess if it's a good running low mileage engine it would be worth it. It's not the shocks that are the problem, it's changing the spark plugs. Not much clearance between the engine and shock towers.

Yeah, I feel like an idiot... That's what I meant. You need to take off the valve covers to get to the spark plugs. I can deal with that, though... And I agree, pickles are just delicious, my personal fave are the mini's... Can't have just one of those...

Here is a book that was recommended on another website I hang at ...

Rebuild Small Block Ford Engines by Tom Monroe

Without knowing more of your situation, it is really hard to give good advise, and I am not pushing to know more.

At least, try to stay on good terms with your folks. They are the only ones you have. I wish I had the opportunity to tell my dad how right he was on certain things now that I look back on them as a much-older guy, and I think we got along really well.

Get that Mav running ... just about anyone can finance a new car.

Thanks all for the advice... For those of you still :hmmm: about the Sky... It's made by Saturn, and it looks like the Pontiac Solstice, but way better looking, in my opinion... Look it up...

Oh, THAT Sky...Yeah...I like. And much better looking that that Pontiac POS...

By the way, who makes Saturn? Are they an independent company, or a spinoff of GM?

    yea there made by GM

the sky/solstice plant is actually about 10 mins up the road from my house

saturn is what slowly became the replacment brand for oldsmobile. they weakened one as they slowly built up the other. in 1987 i believe there was a concept car called the Oldsmobile Saturn which eventually just became its own brand all together

but anyway, the sky iis definatly a really good looking car. probably the best looking car in the whole GM line up

Nooo. Don't do that. EVERYBODY has a story from their teen years about things getting tense with the parents. Try to believe me when I say that SOMEDAY you guys won't still be mad at each other. Remember, cars will come and go, but FAMILY is FOREVER. :)

OK--now I will get off my soapbox.

    Take care.
