What floor mats are you all running. I know you can get the "MAVERICK" logo ones from AK for like $75 + shipping. But I want to know what other alternatives there are that look good and aren't as expensive. I'd like to get a set like Dan Hines has in his 71 Grabber, but I know those are NOS and probably extremely hard to come by. My dad's 73 LDO has factory mats that are brown and say "FORD" on them. Let me know what you all have or some opinions. All the ones I see in the auto parts store or Walmart don't go nothing like as high up on the floor pan as the factory mats like in my dads car do. I assume it's because they are used in universal applications. This is for a black interior car. Thanks

I was able to buy a very nice set of Ford floor mats from a guy on ebay but they were very hard to find. When I did fine a set they were the wrong color. I just kept searching ebay and ebay stores until I found a set in black in very good condidtion but it took over a year to find them. Search ebay for "Ford floor mats" 1960s & 1970s. Also search swap meets and dealerships for NOS or used, sometimes in used car departments or junk yards. My other choice would be the carpet mats that say Maverick. I wanted the stock new car look. I got lucky. If you keep keep looking you will find them. Ask pepole at car related events. Many people have things in the garage they don't want and don't think there worth anything.

If you want stock looking, or actual stock for our cars, you gotta look for Torino, Fairlane, or Stang mats.
There are stock Stang mats that are reppoped, that look exactly like the stockers from our cars.
The only thing I can't stand is that they are all repopped with ponys on them, or some sort of letter that lets you know it's for a Stang.
If they repopped them plain, they would be a perfect match.

Here's the part # for the mats I have ... they are identical to the Mustang Pony Repops ... but have the Ford logo instead .... D6OZ-6213086-A

Hey Dan, where would be the best place to try and find them? would green sales have them?

You could check green sales ... doubtful though. I lucked out finding these from a guy on eBay that happened to be selling a blue set ... I emailed him about a black set and he happened to have them.

These would be so easy to repop since they are already repopping the Cougar and Mustang version of these mats ...

Just went to their site and input the part #. Said they don't have it. Yea, they should have them repopped with the Ford logo like yours or even plain, but they only have the Mustang horse logo. Real smart.
