Well folks ,last weel i asked members of the forum to help with ideas for striping and painting my grill thats going into my 69.5 grabber clone street/strip race car. Well i took some of your advice ,then went to my best friend and retired auto body rebuilder and professional auto painter,my DAD. Remember folks im not building a show car so its only a 8.5 out of 10 for the quaulity of the job,but its going to be one pimp street/strip race car ,so heres some before and after pics of a grill i bought of ebay for 10.00,its going to look great on the front of my 2007 dodge viper pearl blue base coat /clear coat paint job . . ps im still on track for racing it in july of 2008,ill keep you all posted cheers Outlaw Jimmy2gates more eye candy pics on thread #5
painted grill completed A few more grill pics of Maverick grill for my street/strip race car cheers Jimmy2gates
Take the Maverick badge, remove the chromed logo, paint the back plate the same blue your painting the car, then put it back together. It will add a nice detail.
What you talkin about Craig. Did you ever change your marker/turn lights from left and right to make them right LOL!
Painting Maverick grill prep work ,well i plastic bead blasted it ,then sprayed a clear primmer adhesive to the plastic grill ,then hi-solids two part primer, sanded the primmer with a scotch brite pad then two coats of semi-gloss pant .I did the same to all the other metal pieces of the grill. cheers Jimmy2gates
