I never really thought much about my brakes till last summer, I had made a pass on a local 1/8 mile track and had spun off the line(unprepped track). I was kinda irritated and went rite back around, It was a hot day and not many were racing, so i was able to get back to the line without any cool down. This pass i didn't spin and probably ran about 100 mph,(This track is short 600 foot). It also has a short shut down, Well to make a long story short, I had to take the 90 degree( actually probably 180 would be more accurate) turn off at about 30 mph. I made the turn but not by no whole lot to spare. But anyway this got me to considering a rear disk set up before i add any more power. I have some questions, But before i ask i want to say: We don't have any late model junk yards close by, I really don't have the extra time to look Thur the junk yard if there was one.I would rather buy the stuff new, in a kit designed for the 9 inch rear. I have a small bearing custom made 9 inch from Currie. My questions are: Has anyone bought a kit? if so what brand? was the kit complete? What parking brake cables was used? Any extra parts that need to be bought when the kit is ordered? My next questions regards the brake system. Has anyone ever used a line lock to keep the fluid from going to the Calipers(cylinders)? I have never thought to use one in this fashion, But i think in my case it would make my burnout easier. ( i have been used to doing it without the aid of a line lock for more years than i want to admit). In other words if installed backwards in the rear brake line, when activated would it block the fluid from going to the cylinders? Anyone see any hazards or safety issues with doing it this way? I would naturally use a switch that would have to be held on and when let go of would release(A momentary button on the shifter handle). Thanks in advance for the help.

On the line lock,, why not just use right way on the front? Hit the brakes, line lock button, release brakes. Front brakes locked, rear free.

Llock on rear backwards, something goes wrong an activates may put you in a hurting. In a panic stop you may just hit the wrong button. Probably never have that problem but you never know. What is the advantage to rear line lock?

I got the strange brakes, fitment was great and I like the set-up. Just got to get car rolling to see how they work! Track only car, no e-brake wanted

I run the radials, which on MY car requires a different burnout than other tires. With the front tires locked i wouldn't be able to do it this way. I think keeping the fluid from the rear would better serve my purpose

Understand now,, variable foot braking with rear brakes free. Should work that way an push button way to go.

The lineloc is for HOLDING pressure on the FRONT brakes only. Accomplishes a burnout quite nicely!
