That Comet may be the ugliest thing this side of the missisip but she runs smooth as silk...got her up to 90 mph and not the first miss or shimmy...took my hands off the wheel and not the slightest drift ridin the centerline. The brakes on this car seem alot better than the Mav and the Mavs are new.Hit the brakes and let go of the wheel and not the slightest pull.
4 doors, some quarter panel patches, new trim and a paint job she will be a beauty. :bananaman

The T-bird never ceases to amaze me. when I initially looked at the antennae I thought it looked a little strange.
I was cleaning the inside today and turned on the radio and it was the BBC in England:eek: the dang thing has a shortwave band on it...its a Blaupunkt radio that also has AM/FM, its also factory.
Everytime I got to do something to the car I find something I didn't see before.
There is a small switch on the side of the console that will only stay engaged if the ignition is on...anyone know what thats for???

well, I think I missed a few things, but looks like you got a sweet deal.

How much did you pay?? was this a two for one ebay deal??

    The bird interior looks immaculate!

The T-Bird brings back memories. I learned to drive in my dad's '66 T-Bird convertible. 428, all leather interior, electric top, the neat sequential turn signals. Sure wish I had it now.:(

I have 1200.00 tied up in the 2 cars not counting delivery. both cars were on e-bay but neither met reserve price so I negotiated the cost after bidding was over.
I'm really anxious to get into the T-bird I just havn't had time yet

    Great looking Bird!!!

Can't wait to see pictures of your T-brid work. I have a 66 coupe that I started when I was 15 with my dad and I never finished. Won't get rid of it though it's the only project my dad and I ever started together. It's been sitting under a tarp. Most of the body work is done but there is still a lot of work. I finally graduated college last month so I'm hoping to have more time to devote to it. Looks great! Good luck and keep us up-dated!!

Those cars look great. That T-Bird looks real cherry. So never actually having been inside one of those T-Birds it sorta looks like the console would fit into a mav. Have any idea if it will?:bananaman

The console on the Bird is huge...I don't think it would fit...not to mention it houses all your option buttons, radio, heat and A/C controls, ashtray, glove compartment, lighter and a few other things. I can't imagine a more luxurious interior on a 66 model american car.
