I was at the track in phoenix today when they announced that Doug Herbert was on his way home. His 2 sons ages 17 &12 were killed in an auto accident today. My condolences and prayers go out to the Herbert Family.

I heard about that. He received that phone call the parents of teens dread getting. Here's an article with all the details. Dougzilla is one of my favorites and my heart and prayers go out to him, his family, his business, and his team.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Herbert family. There's not much that can heal the pain now, except time and faith.

Alway's hits home when something like that happens. A parents worst nightmare, be it the police or the military personnel, knocking on the door. NHRA has really taken a hit lately, on things like that. God Bless.

Condolences can be sent to Raymer Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. In lieu of flowers, the Herberts ask that people donate to Speedway Children's Charities in their sons' names.
