As i put more and more money into my car, i get more and more worried about driving it! Someone could probably have my MSD box in about 5 minutes if they were so inclined. Any creative ideas for locking the hood shut?

Check a JC Whitney catalog, I seem to remember a hood lock the style Mustang Mach I's used, kinda like a twist knob, with a key lock in center. If not JC try Mustang Depot or someone like them that deals mainly Mustang.

back in the old days I used to date fat women. Had them sit on my hood when car was parked. Went thru a lot of hoods but never lost anything under the hood.:D :bananaman :bananaman

I have the round, inset type hood locks for my mav. You have to carry the key around with you but since we have to get out of the car to open the hood anyway it doesn't matter. I choose these cause I don't like seeing hood pins with little locks hanging off them. I got mine off ebay. Just look for locking hood pins. Hope this helps

Are there any good locks or I can use, or adapt for use that are completely hidden - cutting holes is not an option for me. :) Hey Country, you have any of those pics yet? Oh yeah, PM me with your zip when you get a chance.

I don't think that there are any hood locks that you don't have to put some kind of holes in your hood. The only thing that I can think of is getting a hood latch from another car that could be modified to fit yours that has a release inside the car, sort of like the new cars have. Unfortunately hood locks involve holes in one's hood.

Plus with a cable system, you will have to add a spring to pop the hood up once you pull the release. You could probably get one of those cable locks. Then you can thread it through the latch mount on the hood and somewhere else down on the core support. At least there will be no holes through the outer sheet metal.

    Dan, your a riot!!!!!!!

I thought about those locking hood pins, but was a little hesitant to put holes in my hood. I'm holding my breath for yours, country, otherwise i might go with the cable....

I looked in the PAW catalog and they have an "Inside Release Hood Lock Kit No TDP-9376 for 23.95" 2002 Book pg 677.
