    Hello,

I just got a customers 1972 Maverick 2 dr. hardtop painted.
Would like to buy new good quality parts if I can....

1--The cowl weatherstrip which is under the hood on the cowl.

    2--Both door sill plates.

3--Both headlight surrounds/bezels. Not the trim rings.

4--At the back of the rear quarter windows on the outside there is a chromed pot metal trim piece. Need both.

5--On the front fenders there are 4 rubber hood bumpers. Need all 4. not talking about the adjusters.

6--Is there a plastic piece behind the headlight bezels? If so I need both.

7--Is there a plastic piece between the rear quarter panel and the L shaped extension that bolts onto the back of the quarter panel? If so, I need both.

8--The gas cap is missing the logo or whatever goes on the cap itself. Sorry it's not there so I don't know what to be calling it.

    Any help would be appreciated.
If you can get back to me at my e-mail address that is the best way to reach me.

    Be good, Jim

I believe the cowl weatherstrip and some of the other rubber pieces are available through autokrafters. Possibly the door sill plates, not sure on that. The parts on the rear 1/4 windows are called boomerangs and they just stated being reproduced. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=41086 Somebody else may have some of the other parts.:)

    Thanks Don.

I will get a hold of Autocrafters in a few days.

Is there plastic pieces behind the headlight bezels and the quarter panel extensions?
Seems like there would be to keep from chipping the paint. Just like under a door handle or radio antenna.

    Be good, Jim

Like Don said the rubber pieces and cowl seal are available from Autokrfaters or RPS http://www.restorationpartssource.com/ (RPS is the vendor that will be bringing the boomerangs and other reproduction parts to market)

On number 3 are you referring to the ring that holds the headlamp into the headlamp bucket or the bezel that attachés to the fender?

    Nothing behind the headlight bezels

On the rear quarter extensions you can use quarter extension seals from a 65-66 Mustang (also available through Autokrafters and RPS)

Post a parts wanted ad in the appropriate forum for the gas cap.

To clarify, on the rear quarter extensions, it is a U-shaped rubber lip that fits in a channel on the back.

The cowl weatherstrip is definitely being repro'd. I saw one on eBay yesterday and pretty sure it was autokrafters auction.

Let's see pictures of that puppy when it's done!

... and tell the owner to come on over and join us. :thumbs2:

Try Mustangs Unlimited for #5 if AK doesn't have them. Gas cap, e-bay or someone here may have one. Good luck with all.

Are you talking about the plastic shield that is located in the inner fenders?
