Here's a quick rundown on my progress so far. 9-22-07 Picked up the mav from a guy local here from a craigslist post Got it home and started the teardown and cleaning and fixed the battery tray area. Then moved to some floor repair Then I found a set of small bumpers, and valances to swap to Pre-73 style bumpers. Then I picked up a set of magnum 500 wheels Then i moved to the engine and transmission portion. I picked up a C-4 freshly rebuilt and a street fighter torque converter. I also scored a 68 302 complete engine off craigslist and had it rebuilt. Then I recently moved onto doing a four wheel disc brake conversion. So In about 160 days or so I have been able to get this far on the project. Soon I'll be installing the engine and trans and get everything all sorted out with the mechanical aspect of the project. Like making sure brake work as they should, no leaks anywhere etc... Then move along to interior. Paint will have to wait a bit, but my primary concern is to get it running. Special thanks to Yellow75 for all the help and parts he has provided for me to be able to get this far. I haven't even began to count costs, and honestly I probably wont. I really don't care. I'm having too much fun to consider how much I have spent. Check out my post in the new member section for more pics of the entire process. Later
I made a list of stuff that I have done to my car. It's pretty long and it's still sitting up on jackstands.
Thanks for the encouraging replies guys! Yeah the wheels were from my 300 after I put 22's on it. I just had em on there for fun. I have magnums on the mav now. The master cylinder is from a 1985 dodge D-100/D-150 1/2 ton truck. Got the tip from Old Man. Just drill out the mounting holes to 3/8" and it's a direct bolt in.
