It is great that there is a forum exclusively for Mavs/Comets!! Just recently acquired my second '72 Grabber. She's all there, no rust, 85K original miles and is the most heavily optioned Grabber I've seen. The first one I bought new in 1972 so that will give you an idea how old a fart I am! I could use some help in locating a bunch of little stuff mainly for the interior - back seat, kick panels, door panels, AC ducting, baggage rack, rear window defroster grille..... It has black interior and is an original high back bucket seat car I believe they called it glove soft vinyl and is a slight roll and pleat with perferations in the seating surfaces. It currently has a standard vinyl back seat in great shape but wrong material. Door panels are stock Mav and not the wood grain insert style. Anyway, great to be a part of what appears to be a thriving community!!!
where at in tennessee? I am at the I40/I75 split and there are several maverick and comet guys around here with lots of parts and several yards too. Robert
I used O'Reilly A/C ducting. It was plastic and not that stock paper-ish material, so dust doesn't stick to it as bad. Welcome to the board, and post up some pics of your cars!!!
Welcome. Nice to have another Tennessee guy. As I begin to tear into mine to rebuild, I know i will have parts to dispose of. Who knows, maybe some stuff you'll need.
I'm in Ky and have a friend (Tim Keck) in New Tazwell. we both have several parts and parts cars if you ever need anything welcome aboard!
Then you may know donna dickey.....she remarried so I dont know her current last name, I worked with her at our last job. Robert
