How many miles are on your Maverick?

Our cars are getting on in years. I was interested in what kind of miles are on some cars out there.

My current project is a 73 with 70k original (according to the previous owner) but all of my other 7 Mavs/ 1 Comet were over the 100k hurdle at one point in their life, before or after I owned them.

Forgot about the '74 that got totaled with only 75k when it went to blue oval heaven.

BIG; When I bought my car, the odo showed 58K, and it was working ok. I changed the cluster, and it then showed 27K. Now, it has 54K. I guess it has about 85K miles, and has been gone through pretty much. Not much of the original car remains, except the body. But I do love the little car, and it will still be mine when I no longer need it...

    Take care,

    Earl

My 77' Maverick has well over one hundred thou on it. The current reading is 19407. Nearly every mechanical part in the car was either replaced or rebuilt except the rear. The engine has a little over 7000 on it since the rebuild a few years ago. The 76' Maverick has around 36000 original miles on it. It had 24000 miles on it when we bought it 5 years ago. Mechanicaly it's like new. It's just the body that has seen better days.

The actual body of my car has 169,000 miles on it, but only a few thou on the drivetrain.

I don't know of too many cars made today that will take the beating these cars have, and still be cars...not razor blades!!

Yes my I6 still runs. I just love to look under the hood and see the sticker 200 & 120 HP. Have to love the Horsepower rating system in 1970 because it was 95hp for 71 & 85hp for 72. Mine is no stronger or faster but it does look good to see that 120hp.:D :D :D

    Those are low miles...

...Mine 117K when I got it in 1984.
Motor was rebuilt at 151K in 1988.

    Car now has 181,xxx and I haven't
had it on the road yet from the resto.
Everything is new or rebuilt, so I hope
it runs and drives like new.
