V8 swap radiator question

    When I swap my I6 to V8 the radiator hose doesn't fit cause the plug on block and intake was bigger than the one on radiator so does a radiator is made for a 302 in comet cause mine is a little bit scrap :rolleyes: so does someone got a good link

    You can use the I6 rad. I f yours is scrap I think you can order a new rad stock replacepent. I went w/ an aluminum Griffin, had to weld in my own brackets. You can get hoses that have different sizes on each end. hope this helps some. ill see if I can get you more info. Thom

    but a stock rad with stock 302 came with different size??

    Comet I couldn't see any difference in the 2 radiators...I'm running the one from the I-6 70 model with no probs to this point

    does someone know a place where I can get hoses for V8 engine to fit my comet 1975??

    Local auto parts store has them. Mine were about $10 each.

    A 170 & 200 cid I6 uses the same radiator. A 250 & 302 use the same radiator. A 250/302 radiator had bigger inlets for your hoses. It is also my understanding (heresay) that it has more flues to cool the larger displacement. Hopes this helps........
