Mine has 16,000 of the hardest most hateful miles a person can put on a car. It might be a really low mileage car, but I certainly have abused it.

I bought my 72 302 Maverick in Nov. 02 with a 153,000 miles on it from the 2nd owner. I drove it everyday to work(100 miles round trip) up to a 166,000 miles. The heads or timing cover had never been off the car & it never used any oil. I pulled the engine & installed a rebuilt 5.0 roller motor. The car currently has 168,000 miles on it. The car has been retired from everyday driver status, but I did drive it up to the Monterey Historics, a 1000 mile round trip. It didn't miss a beat...

My comet has 125k on it and has only had a timing chain & gears put in.The original owner said he did that at 100K because he figured it needed it but it really didnt.I have put a fuel pump, master cyclinder, wires, plugs, dis cap,pvc valve, and rebuilt carb.Runs like a top.I bought it at117K so I have put 8 on it myself. Later Tim "my comet gt"

1974 Maverick I bought for $500 8 years ago when I was 16. Since then I have invested $30,000 into it.
My Maverick has 93k miles on it now. I bought it when I was 16 for $400 w/ 19700 miles on it. The interior was mint and you opened the door and I could swear you could still smell the new car smell in it. It was amazing. It was side swiped back in '78 and sat til I bought it in '95. This you probably wont believe but my dad put in fresh gas and it turned over. We rebuilt the car stock everything. It was my daily driver/ show car. So I put alot of miles on it until I decided to take it off the road get a beater and throw some real money into into it. Now it is what it is, my beautiful Maverick. Once I get my house Ive got some real big plans for it, alot of trick and new paint. This is what it is now though:
