Anything going on in CA March 4-7?

I have a little free time and need to see if there is anything Maverick related going on during this time.

I will be staying in Seal Beach, doing some surfing, maybe a trip to the mountains to go snow-boarding, etc.

To my dismay, this trip got scheduled DURING the week and does not include any weekend days

 

not that I know of. Seal beach is south isnt it? How far is that from Santa Barbara and such?

 

Seal Beach is right near Huntington Beach. So, yeah, south, in the Las Angeles/Orange County area.

 

Bakersfield March meet? Nostalgia race. I'm not sure if that goes on during the week though.

 

Santa Barbara is north of where you will be visiting me

 

I thought so. I dont wander too much farther south than Santa Barbera.

 

I drove to Santa Barbara several years ago, it was a full day trip up the coast and back. Pretty drive. That is what I do when there is no surf and I am not snow-boarding, just drive up and down the coast.

 

Hey, if I give you an address in Seal Beach, can you swing by and take a picture for me?? It's where my 73 Maverick used to live!!

Talk about wierd coincidences, the address that Dave PMd me is 2 blocks from my grandmother's house in the same neighborhood

 

COOL!!! Too bad the cars not still there, oh wait if it was then I wouldn't have it.....

 

It really is a cool neighborhood. All the cars are parked on sporadic blocks in a circular covered parking area, and there are many old and vintage cars there. It is a retirement community so some of these people are still driving the same cars they bought new in the 50s and 60s. I like to walk around and look at them, kinda like going to a car show each time I walk or drive around.
