'72 Grabber fuel pump issue?

    Yes, "eccentric" is what I meant. Sorry, the deepest I have ever torn into the front of an engine is replacing a water pump. Don't know all the technical names up there. To be more specific about the other forum, the guy on the other forum I was referring to said he had a 350 Chevy with the same problem and he referred to it as the "lobe wearing flat". I was picturing something similar to a camshaft lobe I guess.

    Chevy's have a lobe on the cam shaft to drive the fuel pump, so I could see it wearing down enough not to drive the fuel pump. I had the cam bolt back out on my car, I forgot to use locktite.
