Anybody got any pix from a Mav installation? Their website only shows an older Falcon and a Mustang...

    Thanks!

Man this is the first time I've posted on this board in months. I've been working so much and its been so cold I havent done a thing to the car lately. Just saving money and waiting for warmer weather.

Well, I've had my car a whole week now. Got the drivetrain & suspension out Friday, front clip removed Saturday. Will take a break tomorrow and finish a set of (12 hr) day shifts, then pick up again next Friday. If the weather holds, we might meet up with Scooper for the Baytown swap meet on the 2nd...

Another try on the pix, and a question: After installing the new crossmember, can I safely remove the one close to the radiator support? The one that located the strut rods?

    Thanks!

Looks like your making some really good progress! Keep us updated on everything, I'm really interested in how it turns out because I was thinking about doing it to my mav one of these days.

Got one of the shock tower/motor mounts removed today. Also some pix of Willie's crossmember, check out the welding! Should get the other side out tomorrow and the rails all trimmed up.

Yup, the coil-over kit... There is about 3" of adjustment built in to the upper shock mounts. :dancing: Got a bit more done today, the pass side sheetmetal stripped out and the crossmember tacked in place.

Notice anything missing? Unfortunately, I couldn't remove it complete and had to use the new toy (plasma cutter). My spotweld cutter doesn't work so good on thicker material like crossmembers!

No Hemi... Ya'll will prolly hate me forever, but it's getting a 2003 LS-1 Corvette motor and built 200R4 tranny. I also have a (carbed) Victor JR and MSD programmable ignition for it. I'm undecided whether or not to "turbo" it or step up to an L-92 stroker. Either way, 550 to the rear wheels is well within reach...

Having built a Buick "GN" powered S-10, I'm a freak for engine swaps. My fully loaded '96 S-10 (3750#) with a mildly modded (but heavily boosted) Buick 3.8L "6" runs high 11's on the street and pulls 1.70 60 ft times with P275's with nothing but Cal-trac's.
