    All 1972 250 6cyl cars I have had (several) were all 4-lugs.

I believe it depended on both the engine size (250ci) and having air conditioning. All factory 302 cars had 5-lug, and 250 6cyls with air had five lug. The rest were 4-lug. No doubt there'll be claims to the contrary, but I believe that's the division in the reference material I have.

Oh, and I should add "factory installed air conditioning." Obviously, if the a/c was dealer installed, it could still be 4-lug.

I was just getting ready to say I have a factory 71 250 car with factory 5 lug...but it is also a factory a/c car so I would have to agree with that assessment.

Would it have anything to do with the Heavy Duty Suspension option? I'm trying to find my Maverick order forms and see what they say.
