Hi,I finally got the car going and we are putting on a new steering wheel. It is a grant classic cruiser. The problem is when we got it all hooked up,we hooked the battery back up and the horn constantly goes off.We have no clue what it is.Any help would be appreciated.

Obviously the horn button on the new wheel is always energized. Is it spring loaded?

the wire inside the horn button area ( where it hooks up to the Grant button conectors could be touching the ground) maybe you just need to tape it up.

Also, make sure that you didn't crank down the 3 bolts too tight. If you did, it will close the gap needed to keep the horn from engaging. Mine started to do this after 5 years of taking off and putting back on the wheel. I finally had to put a dab of locktite on it and not crank it down all the way...probably should do it right and replace the bolts :hmmm:

The wire that runs in the column is 12v so if its grounding, its arcing and sparking briefly before it blows a fuse. Could be the wrong installation kit. Should have a collar that has 2 copper rings for the horn button connection.
