so i found a nice cheap 351 w locally but im sure the 302 headers i have probably wont fit and swap headers probably cost more then i'd pay for the motor. would stock 302 maverick manifolds fit? I do have a set of those. only thing this motor needs is a front sump pan

    do it:D

i have hooker 6208s and they fit, there big and pricey

crites has swap headers, tublar automotive has swap headers

it will fit, no problem, spark plug changes can take time, i have to remove the valve covers to do so

302 manifolds fit i believe, with some grinding of the cast

302 headers will usually fit a 351W, but the reverse isn't always true.

302 headers on a 351 might hit the floor boards on our cars, not positive though:huh:

The manifolds from the 302 will fit but they are restrictive on the 351 even more than they are on 302s. The header pipe coming off the manifold will have to be bent down slightly but other than that - yes they fit.

That also depends on the headers used, more than the intended application. Same holds true in V8 Ranger swaps. I had to make no BFH mods to the Hedman long tubes in my Comet. And the Canfields have raised by 1/2" ports. (y) I learned from my V8 Ranger and big block Mustang experiences to expect to make BFH mods with any headers, it's a pleasure to find those that fit with no mods.

Early 302 manifolds will fit,but they will sometimes touch the upper control arm bolts(little grinding,no big deal)
