from bench to BUCKET!!

    no i didnt do the swap
    BUT i am going to a "pull a part" on thursday and i was hoping that it woud have bucket seats...if it did is it a direct bolt on or do i need to get the "guide rails" (i think thats what they are called) from the bucket seats also?

    You need both the seat and the tracks. I wish it was as easy as showing up at a yard and pulling them, Try looking sometimes for years for parts!

    just a sugestion-- i just scored some nice buckets from a 83 mitsubishi eclipse and they have flat slider rails. took about 2 hours to get them mounted and leveled and they fit perfect. just an option for what cars to look for. part-time went with probe seats but his were alot more involved since his floor pans had the 74-77 cat hump. (my car is 71) relatively flat floor

    so for ANY car you have to mount the sliders and take the old ones out?

    buckets

    I was able to put bucket seats in my 76 comet out of a grananda. was a lil snug, but not enough that you cant move the seat. i have to move the seat coz im only 5" 1.
