Hey guys, OK I have read and searched for three hours (bored). Has anyone used the stock clutch linkage on T5 swap. I have all clutch linkage but clutch fork. I want to use the stock set up if it works good. Just don't like how the cable set up runs through the engine compartment. I see Mordern Drive Line has a kit to use your stock linkage, just wanted to know if anyone has used it. Thanks for your time. Joe

My original one. I did just like the Mustangs and Fords article and drilled the holes to match the adapter plate from California Pony Car. The adapter plate was around $100.

Thanks for the replys. Now next question. Are the factory clutch fork and bellhousing specific to Mav and Comet or does any 1972 302 set up work? Thanks

I'm not positive, but I think the bellhousing from any Ford originally equipped with a V8 and a 3 or 4 speed should be the same or very similar. Mine doesn't look exactly like the one in the article but the bolt pattern lined up.

you can use a t5 bellhousing 85- 93 without an adapter...but you will need to modify the clutch fork pivot with a 3/4 inch alluminum spacer block ....check the mustang website... 94' 95 trans have a longer input shaft necessitating the 94-95 bell... course...if you have an 85-93 trans and already have a bellhjousing then buy the spacer plate....either way you're gonna spend a hundred bucks....good luck

I used the spacer 'cause I wanted to keep my old Lakewood bell and I used 66 Mustang linkage.
