Jamie, that actually does look good. The missing grill and bumper distract you from looking at the rear doors
jamie, is that the new gasser look with the nose high in the air? scooper, no offense taken, i was just razzing you a liitle.
put on a salesman persona. put a for sale sign in it. and start advertising its good qualities.. see if you can sell it. or do what several people have said... fix it up and make it a nice car.. whether it is a 4 door or 2 door, you said that you are flat broke. it doesnt matter if you find a 2 door at this point.. you own this car.. do what you can until the 2 door comes into your life.. you will buy it when the time comes.. then you can use some parts to fix it up..
I vote keep the 4 and learn on it.....anything you do mechanicley to it EX. rear gears, motor, tranny can always be carried over to a 2 door in the fture and any learning can also be carried over J M $.02
I agree 100%, there are people looking for a 4door to restore. You might even find someone interested in a trade. You never know. Anyway if you don't care fore a 4door get a 2 door! Do not settle for what you do not want!
Old thread, but I missed it... Here are some pics I have 'borrowed' from our site. Just to get you thinking. There are 2 other ideas: *Turn the car into a 2 door convertible. To me the way the decklid swoops up on a 2 door, they don't make good looking convertibles. The decklid and rear body lines of a 4 door are perfect for making a 'natural' looking convertible. *Cut the rear roof section off a Falcon wagon and make your own Maverick wagon.
Well since the thread is back heres some food for thought about 4 doors late model Pontiac Grand Prix Taurus SHO Dodge Charger Impala SS (90's vintage) Mercury Marauder BMW 328i beemers probably definded the sports sedan class Jaguar XJ Mercedes Lexas Acura Maverick Luxury Sports sedan 302 roller efi , AOD Leather Interior upgrades Mustang 2 front suspension Shaved drip rails Deep black cherry finish, buckskin leather interior, woodgrain accents on the dash electric windows.... electric seats...
You will NEVER get your money back out of fixing up a 4-door so you better plan on keeping it if you do drop a ton of money in it .... You have a great chance of getting your money back out of a 2-door ... There have been LOTS of nice rust-free 4-doors for sale here and on eBay and they are almost impossible to sell ... they fetch maybe 1/4th of what a 2-door fetches.
Hmm I that is true but I doubt , unlees it is a grabber or possibly a stallion you'd ever get the money back out of a regular 2 door either, I have to say I pretty much think in terms of never selling my car , though it is a 2 door I don't expect to get what I'll have into back out.
