For 5.5 months I have been re-building my Maverick and you guys have been a great help. Below is a pitcture of where I am at. I need to get plugs and dont think the standard plugs will work well with all my upgrades and 50K Volt HEI. I was thinking of looking up a plug for a 5.0 Mustang (with Carb) from the 1984 model year. What do you think? I am thinking it would be compatable or close?

If it helps I am running the following:
    Edelbrock 4bbl 600
    Headers/X pipes/Flow Masters
    Cylinder Head Work and Porting
    Cylinders Honed/4 inch
    Performance Cam and Manifold
    Electric Fuel Pump
    50000 Volt HEI
    Upgraded Pistons
    B and M Shifter
NOS in 2 thousand miles (75 or 100 hp boost, not too much)

you're going to need a colder running plug if you plan on running NOS with it...

try to get a 1 or 2 cycle colder plug than what the normal one is.

Depending on what performance cam you have you might want to replace the "push-in" rocker studs with screw-in studs. Those push in studs have a habit of pulling out with longer duration and faster lifts than stock.
Your compression will determine which plug you use but like the man said - if you are using nitrous then go at least one step colder plug or you will run into detonation and ruin those new pistons.
