Will this Clutch linkage work in a 76 Maverick I-6?

Eliminate the clunky linkage that came factory on your classic Mustang and upgrade your mechanical clutch linkage to ORP's roller clutch linkage kit. Replacing the factory nylon bushings that came on both the block and frame mount with roller bearings and adding heim joints to the end of our clutch rods greatly reduces pedal stiffness and eliminates the binding that often occurs with the factory mechanical linkage resulting in a softer, smoother pedal feel.
A brand new Z-bar is also reinforced to ensure long life and prevent unwanted structural failure that can happen with a heavy duty clutch. It is highly recommended that the motor use a torque strap with our roller clutch linkage to prevent unwanted side to side movement. Please allow 2-4 weeks for turnaround.
    * There is a $50 Z-bar core charge fee added in the price for the roller clutch linkage kit. Please contact us if you would like to ship us your usable Z-bar and eliminate the core charge fee.

Ken, don't know but if you need one for an I6, I have the z-bar, frame bracket and lower adjustment rod that runs to the clutch fork. Would let you have it cheap. Send me a PM if your interested. - Matt

The only way it could possibly work is if the distance between the block mount and frame rail is the same on a Maverick and a Mustang ....

    Mr. Hines,
That is what I was asking. I don't know. Do you know of any good body shops in GA?
    Thanks,
    Ken

A Mustang is wider so I seriously doubt it will be a bolt in deal. I am working on converting my clutch linkage to all ball bearing. Total price for the parts is less than $150.

Hmmm...you'll have to keep me posted on what you do. Wouldn't mind doing the same. :)

I wrote Opentracker Racing Products, and asked about the Z-bar assembly fitting a 6 cylinder Mustang and here is their response:
"The rods will. The bearings aren't needed - just replacing the upper/lower rods (including the one inside the car) will significantly improve the performance."
I dont know if this anwsered my question, but that's ok, I bought a mvw66gt set up.
    Thanks,
    Ken
