Is a automatic worth it?

    ive got a 250 with the c4 and i was going to go with the aod that came with my donor motor, but recently i made a frend with a maverick thats hella cool, hees runing a turbo 350, spun by a 289 with 302 heads. ive beat and eat and beat on my 350 in my s10 an id hasnt lost a thing yet. im thinking about getting the trans dapt kit and chtting down a new driveshaft. any thaughts, and i dont care if you hate chevys, there good trans.

    I wonder if that 350 will fit into the tranny tunnel.....
    Without modification.

    well if this says anything for a C4 auto comet my 250 inline 6 auto walked a 340 duster once and I usto bonce the needle on the speedo all the time in that car I would say the C4 in it self is a good tranny o forgot to let you my comet had the 9in posi out back as well.

    The 350 is made for 350 foot pounds of torque. The case is the weak spot because it has to hold the torque for the low/reverse steels. They do have a repair kit for the case but I don't know how well it holds up to the same kind of torque that the C4 can handle. The case can live through about 1200 ft lbs when properly prepared. I don't think that a 350 can do that but it would be interesting to see which one breaks open or strips out first.
