After i did my...heater core..my A/C acted a fool when i charged it up. the clutch was sounding like doo-doo. i ordered a ...new...San-den...compressor ...and it came today. when i was getting ready to install it, i had to bleed the system, i had the guages on and the car running. as i was watching the pressure fall the compressor never cycled . the vent temp. was...52 degrees...and no noise. i shut the valve off and left the car running. no cycling and...cold A/C... come to find out i had charged it too much when i put it back together... sent the compressor back... saved...$250...(new compressor and charging) ...Frank...
if i didn't drive mine anymore than...15-20...min. trips, i wouldn't need A/C either But driving across...Ga. Fl. S.C. N.C. Tenn. Ky. Al. it sure is nice... ...going to Fl. next weekend. June, going to N.C, July, going to joplin, then to D.C. it will be nice then also. like you...when just backing mine in and out of the garage... i don't need it ... ......
I can't, but i know a guy that lives close to you that is great with ...A/C stuff... DFF...:Handshake
Were you asking for technical help or were you showing off your mechanical ability? How to over-charge an A/C system. 52*F That otta keep Mama happy. Ken
mavericks were designed to flow air through and keep you comfortable whereas the newer cars are very hot without ac. IMHO!!!
Trust me, Mavericks can be uncomfortable when it gets hot. When it is hot enough opening all the windows won't help!
