Well I must not be as ugly as I thought:p...Pinks did a sitdown interview with me friday morning before qualifying... All told it probably took an hour of talking and filming which will translate into may be a minute of airtime when the show premieres in August.
To make a long story short I did get some plugs in for the Clubs and the whole sub culture devoted to these cars. Their big question was "Why a Maverick/Comet?" My answer "Because it's not a Mustang or Camaro".
We went through the entire build on the car and they took a ton of film footage. The car ran 3...9.27's at 144 mph...too fast to get picked but I'm sure they will show some footage of it racing come air time...(y)

Allen they chose an 11.60 field and were soundly booed by about 20,000 fans.....400 cars running and they picked one of the slowest fields I've ever seen...we had 16 cars running around my time but one of them threw a rod downtrack and took us out of the running.
Had I known this I would have put it on the bottle and ran what they called Nates Quick 8 field...all 8 second cars running for a couple of grand thrown into a pot by sponsors.
All in all we had a great time and got some good air time for our cars.:yup:
