New Comet owner

    Just replace it. there cheap, and a new one will be more reliable than a unknown age and condition used one.

    Right about that. I would like to throw a set of gauges in. I don't like the dummy lights.

    Definitely get a new oil pressure switch. The center on these is bakelite or some similar stuff and once cracked, it can bleed out the oil real bad ... real quick. It has to hold back oil that can hit 60 psi.

    That has happened to both of mine. Lost two quarts of oil in minutes!

    A new one will probably be less than $10. Very common part at most auto part stores.

    Also, no teflon tape on those threads. It has to ground out on the engine block to work.

    ....thanx guys, I definately need that info about the pressure switch, and not sealing the threads. Thanx again.

    Got tired of looking at the bad fender.....

    So looking at the fender got old. I took it off last night, and started stripping the rust and paint off of it.

    I also attemed to pop out the dent in the rear quarter

    still have to flatten it out some more. But it's a lot better than what it was.:yup:

    I also hit the scoop, paint was flaking. Still have some more sanding to do. But it's getting there. Tomorrow I'm gonna drive her to work. First voyage:dance:
