WOW finally got a chance to sit down and take a break!
Anyone who missed this weekend cannot imagine what they missed! Fun, food, friendship, heat and work lol.
First of all thanks to Jason and Gwen for the setting this weekend up, and for their hospitality. Lil the pteridactyl wings were awesome. Hottie and I ended up having todrive home after the show, but it was a short trip due to talking and laghing about the day all the way back home. What a fantastic time. I have worn my wife's ears out today telling her about the trip.
WE HAVE GOT TO DO THIS AGAIN. well maybe not the teardown of 2 cars, but some other kind of get together.
Again what a fantastic time we had. Oh and Frank., Dana says if all it takes is pancakes ya better look out! See ya'll soon We hope.

I have to agree with everyone that it was a BLAST! My wife is not a car (show) type of person and thanks to everyone there for welcoming her and making her feel comfortable around new people!! Thank you Jason for opening your home to us!! the pictures I took turned out really nice, if I can figure out how to get them from the WalMart CD to the computer, I will post them. My wife even took some pictures of us pushing Luis' Black MAv through the streets of Old Town! (That was one quiet V8 Mav!!)

i should be thanking you guys for the help on stripping the cars. it was great fun hosting this and meeting all of you. old town show went off well and louis was very appreciative of the help in getting his car to run. he called me later that night to say thanks and to let everyone know he made it home safely. his next step is to get the front wiring harness from the parts car and redo/replace the cobbled up mess around his alternator.
i had gwen take alot of pics, when i get a chance to download and resize i will post them up for all to see.
dana/lil, thanks for the cookies and wings.
another meeting will have to be planned in the fall for the old town cruise. who knows, mine might be driveable by then.haha

I just want to know how many pancakes would it take to get Frank's spare Grabber hood? And what kind of syrup he wants! I'm betting on pure Maple, but he might be a Cane syrup kind of guy!

Jason, Gwen, Tessa, and Becca, thank you for the invite to the teardown. I had a great time. It was good meeting everyone. I hope you can get rid of the Maverick carcasses quickly so you don't get kicked out of the HOOD.

Effie, Will you send me the picture you took of my car while we were rolling down the 429 (TOLL ROAD)---------If it comes out?

Finally I got a moment to get back on. Once I go back to work it is hard to get any computer time at home. Just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had. It was great seeing the ones of you I already knew. Lil, I really hate we couldn't stay over and go to your Tallageda party. I know that would have been a blast. Maybe next time. And for those of you I had not met yet it was a pleasure. I feel like I have a whole bunch of friends in Florida now. Hope we can get together again real soon.

All my friends in Florida's friend Effie (AMFIFFE)

    Ken,
It actually did pretty good except our side mirrow was in the picture. I also took one of it in the pottery parking lot. I'm not the smart one in this family when it comes to this board so if you will pm me your email address I will send you all three shots I have.

Hey Ken, if you send me your email address I have some neat shots of your car as well. I don't know how to post the pictures straight from the walmart cd to the forum. The only thing I see that I can do is email pictures.

Looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for posting the pics. One thing I do have to point out is that the only time I see Frank working on anything is when it is his car. :rofl2::rofl2: The rest of the time he looks like a man of authority. Frank, I would use you as a supervisor anytime, I need all the direction I an get.:D
