i've seen this four door 5-lug mav sitting out in a field for a long time now. well the cars pretty beatup and nobody seems to own it in the area and we decided to see if its still got the motor(we needed some parts) we get to the car and wasnt anything left of the motor except some smog junk. as i walk around the car this caught my attention. nothing like a free sport mirror :bananaman View attachment 26807

i know it was older than a 73 (big bumpers). its really beat, but suprisingly lots of good trim and a 5 lug rear!

probably even had disc brakes. we werent gonna stick around long enough to find out sense we didn't know who owns it. but in reality the car is sitting in a bull dozed over field and theres no font tires or wheels so chances are 99.99% abandoned :bouncy:

I did that once when I younger. Old abandoned (at least I thought) T-Bird in a field with hub caps that I thought would have looked good on my Elite. Walked by it every day for over 6 months before I decided to take a closer look. I got about half way to the car before two very unhappy people pulled up in a pickup explaining what they did to the last guy to cut across their field. I never made it near their car but I am convinced that if I would have had those hubcaps in my hands when they pulled up, I would not be here now to share this experience.

this maverick belongs in "maverick heaven" the property's all bulldozed over theres a huge pile of brush and the windows are all busted and the cars full of trash and it's something that your wondering why nobody's hauled it away yet. if we had thoughts that somebody actually cared for it we would of asked around :) BTW the mirror is brown

why not find out who owns the property and ask for the parts? Chances are you can get the 5 lug rear and what ever is left just for the asking. It never pays to help your self to anything. Just my 2 cents...
