    It was badass

It had a bit of a mistique to it. The first schoolmate that owned it was the son of a drag racer-CJ Mustangs. He and his dad both race CJ's now.
It had '1BAD302' on the license plate back then.
That bad 302 was passing a '69 Z/28 doing a little racing one night in around '84 and spun around and hit a guard rail that kept him from going into a lake.
It was repaired and is still around. It has spent much time on the track as an 1/8 mile car. It just needs the factory silver stripes back on it.
It was a very clean car.

Noboby mentioned the cobra emblems on the lower fender....another group fad. Mine are in my toolbox. The black car had '67-'69 Z/28 '302' emblems on the front sides of the hood scoop.
The green GT had 302 painted on. Mine were black stickers.
I have a pic of another high school mates light blue '72 GT somewhere.
I don't have a pic of the 5th one-dark brown repaint with black Grabber stripes.

    Oopps!

I was typing too slow and Ray beat me.
The diamond tuft interior had chrome buttons. I believe the original
mint upholstery was underneath. I was told that by one of the former owners about 8 yrs ago when I tried buying it.

Seth, for some reason the green one shows up on my computer as gold. It's a good looking car green or gold. the black one looks like a twin to my black one. My cobra snakes have magnets on them so I only use them at car shows.

I wonder if thats the same green as mine, just under different light? I took my pics in front of those red bushes on purpose for contrast. Mine has been repainted but he used the original color.

    Derrick-
Yeah, I have been sending him pics of restored GT's. He is getting the fever a bit. He already has a '65 GT Fastback....but he may be vulnerable to a GT.

Whatever your name is with the green GT, no, not the same color. His had more gold in it. Yours is a brighter green.

It looks like 4B "Green Gold Metallic" I know some guy with a car that color, or it's suppose to be that color, but it has more Black on it now.
