P/S Control Valve Needed

    I own a 1977 Mercury Comet (3.3 L) and was hoping if anyone has a power steering control valve. PLEEAASSSSEEEE

    If no one here has one, you can get them from ADAP, NAPA, Autozone etc...

    No way ... getting a rebuilt one should be no problem ...

    National Parts Depot has them, and rebuild kits.

    cool thanks. What model should I look for? Mercury comets aren't on the page.

    I picked up a rebuild kit for I think $40 from Schucks. Pretty good instructions in the package; they give you all the seals and washers, and the ball stud w/ springs and dust boot. I have some pictures of my recent takedown/rebuild if you want them, and, if you're desperate, I might have access to a used one if the guy wants to sell it. I'd rebuild the power cylinder as well, and replace the hoses between. Mine's a '71 so I don't know if the parts are the same. I couldn't find the whole valve easy on the internet either, and when you do find them, they're the expensive ones ($350 Flaming River, etc.).
