It could be the 200 had its own. My 74 4d Comet w/200 PS pump is different than my 74 2d 302.

74MAV- Thanks for the tip on checking the bracket. I'll check on it. I never even thought about it again. Preston

The 250 ci front springs have about the same spring rate as a V8 when the car had factory a/c. Plus, spring rates are different for different years. The 73-up models had to allow for the extra weight of the front bumper and impact bar. You'll find the difference much more noticable if you leave the 6cyl springs in a swap from a 170, 200, or 250 w/o a/c, especially in a pre-73 model. Don't forget when doing a V8 swap in an early car with 4-lug that you also only have 9" drum brakes. The added weight and power make panic stops a bit unnerving. It's a good idea to change to discs or at least 10" drums. I don't remember if it was mentioned above, but you should also use a V8 driveshaft which has a larger diameter, and a 5-lug rear end to pick up the 10" rear drums if your 6-cyl wasn't so equipped. The 4-door V8 Mavericks had a really large diameter driveshaft that could be shortened to fit too. I've not done that, but might in a future project. Heavier, but heavier duty. This might be more of a consideration on a stick car. Have at it!

If you mean the transmission crossmember, then yes, it will work with the v-8 and c-4.....you just won't be able to run dual exhaust. You'll need a double hump crossmember. For the engine, you'll need a V-8 brace crossmember....does this help?
