I was going to post this as a poll, but I think the choices are too broad to list them out on the table...

What would be good wires for my setup? A hard driver, but not really a racer, want street and highway friendly and maybe a trip or 2 down the track a year.

Main thing I need to know is what size wire, and brand, and I will choose the boot that works best for me.

Accel Super Stock coil, 42,000 volts good for 6500 rpm.
    Stock distributor, with pertronix module.
Copper plugs at approx .040 gap.

Not sure what other information you might need to help in the decision, except I do NOT want high dollar, racing wires. Just something better than stock that will work for me and make me happy.

I have Taylor 409's on mine. But I think the Ford Racing wire sets are a good value for the money.

Gms' factory installed plug wires are pretty good They are made by Packard but I dont know if you could get a set to fit a ford. Autolite 7mm wires are pretty good. I have a set on mine that are lifetime guaranteed.(now dont laugh at me) They have been on the car for 15 yrs and havent missed a beat.:hmmm:Wonder if they would still honor the guarantee when they finally do fail????

The Accel 8MM are the best wires ive found, Used to run the MSD, Wires would break down after about 1 year. Have been running this set of Accel now about 3 years.

I used the Accel Super Stock wires before and was happy with them. Wrong distributor end plug, though...I used them for 5 years before I swapped distributor caps to the HEI type and never had a problem with them.

Price was right, if I remember correctly...

WOW!!! After reading that Summit description, How could I NOT buy those???:D

A little pricey, but if they perform as they are described, then it should be worth it.

They have worked VERY well for me and they are 3 years young. The plug boots on the MSD"s would get hard and start jumping fire off the header tubes after about a year. The accel"s have given me no problems of any kind. But unless you get the looms for the 8.8, they are too fat for regular looms, Although mine came with the wire seperators.
