Mustang, I have seen a few in graveyards over the years that were not rusted badly at all. It would be a hot and dirty job, but you could cut one out of a junker and weld it right over your old one, plus waterproof the underside.

    Just a thought. Jack

No There Will Be No Welding Over The Old One. I Want The One In My Car Cut Out The Guy Who Put Them In Before I Got The Car... Wow They Are Pretty Bad.. So I Want Them Gone And New Put In. I Thought We Could Use Them Out Of A 66 Mustang Or Something?

yes you can use early mustang pans. You will have to trim/alter them to fit the mav.Our floors are narrower between the hump and rocker.they will work though.

Pictures... sweet!:kewlpics: This is on my list for next winter and every bit of advice helps. So far it sounds like the early mustang stuff is the best. I know it may sound crazy, but what about other makes? Maybe Camero, Nova? I dunno, it might make the car run ****ty having chevy metal grafted on. :D

the way I mounted mine, when its done you wont know the difference unless you have the mav/comet pan memorized LOL.Thast why I did it in 2 pieces so I could retain the factory overlap between the toe board and the floor pan.this is a rough in pic.I havent seamed it yet or ground anything so it looks ugly.Form underneath it will look unmolested when done as well as inside(even though you will never see it)

Heres a pic of the seperate toe board and one of the area after removal of the crusty stuff.Note new toe board attached where toe board pan meets torque box.You wont see this form underneath when its done.
