I would say save up the money and get some good ones. If your going to do all that work, get some that will last. I bought Hedman 88306. Good fit , just had to move power steering cylinder. Hedman offers a bracket to move the PS cyl. but it did not work on my 70' Mav so I made one.

I haven't seen any headers that go on a Maverick that didn't have some issues. You just have to find a set that meets the specs of your car. Don't buy cheap! Thin flanges, thin tubes and sloppy fits will cause nothing but problems. If you have ever had headers with a thin flange you know how hard it can be to get it to seal! headers that rust through in a few years are no bargain! Fitting headers is hard enough without having to try to make up for fanges that are drilled wrong or mis-aligned.
Save your money until you can get a set that will last and fit.

Go either hooker 6901, or headman 88300. If you get the coated ones then the number will be slightly diff. I have 88300,s and the pass header just falls into place from the bottom. The driver side, well I discovered that if you pull the 1 long bolt on the motor mount and jack up the driver side of motor about 1 in then the header fits easily. I used a piece of 1x2x 16in and put 1 end against the oil pan rail (at the location of the motor mount) and the other end on a floor jack. up she does and walla, in goes header. tighten all bolts and then lower engine, replace long bolt with a nut, torque to 20 lbs and the driver side is done.I have manual steering. hope this helps. :D

Don't know of anyone that has tried the Jeg's branded header on a Maverick. Some have tried the Summit headers and they didn't fit.
Please let everyone know if the Jeg's ones fit.

Good luck. Hope you won't be disappointed. Let us know how they fit. I sent 2 sets of the Summit ones back. No way would they fit my car. I went with the Hookers. But we're always looking for other options.:)
