I have seen a pic that was supposed to be a 69 Stang dash in a Maverick. That was just a pic from 1969, I can't say any further on that. After seeing that pic, I took a spare 69 Stang dash pad and stuck it up into a Mav and it sure looked like a good fit. Was perfect width. Add to that, I have seen a 67-68 Stang front cap installed on a Maverick. You would think the sheet metal would be wider, but it was a very good fit. Perfect fit if you don't count the body line details. Where I see trouble with a complete interior is door panels.
Btw: Those pics posted at the beginning of the thread, especially the exterior pic, don't look kosher. The exterior pic looks like it has major photochopping. IMO, it has lots. You make your own determination, but it doesn't look natural.
Well, if interior dimensions of classic mustangs are similar to mavericks, you could probably do the same swap with a newer mustang interior. Too tough to do for 99.9% of us, but something to dream about .
I finally had time to measure the cars A pillar to A pillar they are the same 55" the mustang goes straight down from there. The Maverick curves in to 53" at the package tray/glove box section.
they call it the "SN65" its a 65 shell, everything else is sn95 cobra! dohc4.6, t56 trans, entire interior, and suspension! that car is simply AWESOME!! i reread the entire thread, we are talking about two different cars!!
