Is there any problems with keeping drums on my car, or should i switch to disc?

The biggest thing would be safety . . . stopping distance etc.
Here is link to some information for changing over to disc brakes.
It's one more common mods on these cars.

The biggest thing to consider too is after putting time and money into your car, you want to make sure you can stop soon enough to avoid rear ending someone.

Drum brakes on the front of these cars absolutely SUCK. I cannot stress that enough. They are a result of Ford Motor Company being CHEAP.

Drums are "adequate" or the rear, even though discs are better, but discs are a must for the front...

I have run both....get rid of the drums! Especially if you live in Seattle or San Fransisco. Brake fade is a scary thing......

Hey check out www.ssbrakes.com . They offer a disc brake conversion kit that allows you to use your drum brake spindles. Car Craft Magazine did a write up on this brake conversion in their Sept. 2003 issue on a 65 Falcon.

I would have to strongly agree with everyone else. Since I got the disc up front (only) I would have to say that my stopping power has been spectacular. I still have the drum in the back and I think it's okay to keep the back drum unless you are doing serious racing. The front disc swap will help tremendously.
