    I have a friend at work that is looking for a family car, and just don't think that a 4 door Maverick would look very good even if it had alittle resto mod work done to it. I am wondering if some of the four door guys could post some pics for me so I can prove to him that even though they have four doors they can still look pretty sweet. Plus this guy happens to be a Chevy guy :( but has fallen in love with mine and would like to have one. But he needs a family car for his two kids......

    This is my buddy's maverick. He has since tucked the bumpers, and we are about to shave the door handles. I have an engine pic here somewhere. Preston

    That's a roller 302 with the sought after years 351 heads and some other goodies. Drags that four-door around pretty good. :D

    Here's my 4dr Comet with a 302, that I drive quite often as a daily driver. I like the looks it gets, with the tune of the turbo mufflers on dual exhaust. Other than that, it's stock. Wanting to make a sleeper someday.

    send him to http://groups.msn.com/71mav/shoebox.msnw for some reason i can't get my computer to post pics on this site so i made a page for my 71 4dr. color is original dark mettalic green with seafoam green stripes. the engine in the pics is the original 302 but is currently undergoing heart surgery with an upgrade to appx. 350-360 h.p.
    p.s. i also bought mine since i have 2 little girls and hauling them in a 2 dr was not practical.

    I bought my four door for the same reason. As a way to incorporate my love for mavericks with a need for a family car. I am a big Grabber fan but I have grown to love my fourdoor too. If you get a 302 car you won't be missing much. Stock with a little (or a lot) of lowering and maybe some wheels can easily transform these four door cars into a rather unique and cool ride. Imagination is the only limit.(y) Plus the kids love it too.

    those should do the trick guys thanks alot. I don't know that I can talk him into a Maverick but at least I can say I tried :)
