I went to Norwalk, Ohio on Saturday to attend the taping of a show for Pinks All Out. There were several Mavericks there, but none made the show. They had a wheel standing contest and as usual most of the cars were Chevys. It was pretty ho hum until a guy put his Maverick on the back bumper for about 60 feet. NO CONTEST. The track announcer really razzed the Chevy guys for getting out performed.
Yea,, That guy did a GREAT WHEELIE,,, I don't know if I could have beat him distance,,, I only did the wheelies the one day,,, Just didn't want to bust car up and time trails is how they picked wheelie guys,, I wanted consistency runs,, just bummed on strut breaking! WA8DDN,, I was in the yellow Maverick,, pitted 3 spots down from CLARK FORD's Maverick,, Did we talk??
I took a picture of your car and the Clark Ford car. I was there Sat. only. Two friends and members of our Ford club were there. They were pitted a little way toward the starting line from you. One has a blue Probe, 9 sec. car and the other has a bronze '86 Tbird, 11 sec. car.I am sorry I missed you. By the way are you coming to Fun Ford at Norwalk in July?
