wondered if anyone here has brought their body color into the car on the insides of the door. In other words, the shop that just painted my car grabber blue, painted the insides of the door grabber blue too. this is the part that surrounds the door panel. I have black interior, so normally that would have been black.

I'm thinking of just re-painting it black...but am hesitating should it actually look good.

anyone here have body colored paint on the inside of their doors? any pics?

Unless you have other interrior parts like dashboard/carpet etc... it may look out of place.Of course sprints are white and have white inner doors but the interrior is white with blue/red accents.

Or put a blue and white interrior in it and put white grabber stripes on it.

Paint them black. The inside of the doors on my 73 when I bought it was painted body color and it looked horrible. The blue would look strange unless you go with a two tone type interior, as Mavman72 mentioned, and then it might look ok.

Mine's body color inside but it's a fairly similar color to the outside.

My comet had one door painted body color (red) and the other white.... The interior was originally black.

The door w/ the red looked 100% better to me than the white one.

I wouldn't want it black however.. the red looked good

Not trying to argue, Andy, but the interior color is white on your former GT, according to the Marti report I received last week. The door is indeed red, at least for now. However, some time this summer, it will be painted white again to match the new white interior I bought recently. It will look much better all the same color.

Paint the door back to black.

My two cents? If you paint the dash body color it might look ok, if not then make them black again ( not gloss use int. flat paint) Good Luck!

    *shrug*

I was told it had black seats originally, but I do remember reading the door tag as being white.

Either way... the red door looks better in my opinion.

Can you send me a PM about the marti report please?

Also, yes the interior will look better all one color.

It had nothing in it when I bought it, but I bought the seats that came in the car, and all of that from a guy locally for a good price, and it was better than not having anything... I was going to clean them up and dye them, or have them recovered. Anyways, hows that old GT of mine doing?

I painted the inside of my car to match the outside. I even carried the stripes inside in the door and door jamb.
