I have been in a four day 800 car show that ended today. Fantastic show with a downtown cruise last night. The new radiator and fan did great and I sat at 200* all night long! A BIG change from last year where we pulled over every three blocks to cool! The reason I am sharing this is at the awards ceremony today they ran my class with about 80 others cars and YES we were the only Maverick. But, after they announced third I told my daughter that we were leaving because the car that took third was INCREDIBLE and very HIGH DOLLAR. Just as we folded our chairs our name was called for SECOND! What a great surprise for the family. I just had to share. We beat out a lot f very high dollar cars and they even commented on the "originality" of a MAverick, LOVE IT! Had to share..:bananaman
just had a local car show today here. so far ive been tho only maverick in every car show, and people are blown away by this car, let alone how good looking it is, haha. man i love these cars! good job with second place!!
That is great. Especially for the whole family being there together and taking the trophy. I know you must be grinning ear to ear.
Congrats!!! Mavericks are getting more and more attention all the time. I too won this past weekend. I was at Fun Ford Weekend in Commerce Geogia. My car won a top 25 in a 115 field. The kicker was that it was participant voting!!! I have never won in a show voted on by participants before and more than 50% of the field were late model cars...mostly Mustangs. I have even avoided some shows because of it. I prefer to have my car judged and even then it's difficult to compete with new cars. Well...like I said...Mavericks are getting some attention.
