wants to die

    76 2dr maverick 51,000 original miles
    For the last 2days my Mav wants to die whenever it pulls away from a stop. I put a reman. carb on a few months ago and it has run fine until yesterday. It is a 250 6cyl. Any ideas? I thought I would start by replacing the fuel filter again.

    how does it idle? does it stall while going around corners?

    It starts up and seems to idle fine and does fine on the few corners I've been on.

    I just swapped the fuel filter and took it for a spin. Runs much better, doesn't want to die, although it does seem to hesitate when I step on the gas from a stop.
