Ifinally got a chance to start actual resto work today after a month of teardown.
My first task was patching some minor frame perforation and was also an opportunity to try welding with flux core and cutting patches to size. I haven't welded in years and haven't worked the grinder or cut-off wheel for a while either.
I also had to fix a bumper bracket mount while I had the chance as well.
Anyway, it took a lot of welding, grinding, re-welding and re-grinding but I finally got there I think. I hope to pick up the pace a bit for the next areas since this ended up taking me about 4 hours to complete. It looks a lot easier than it is. Kudos to those of you that can bang this stuff out quickly.

Looks fine... and its better to invest a little extra time up frount than to go back and do it over later... use some weld thru primer when ever you are overlapping 2 pieces. Most any automotive paint store will have it.
