    My son came to me and said he wanted a Maverick when he got his driver's license. I thought he was nuts, I only remembered the four door economy car. We found a 71 Maverick Grabber and I realized he had a better vision than I. I am letting him decide how he wants to rehab it and it is looking fantastic. I am hooked and thinking about getting another one for me. Welcome to the board, you will enjoy it.

    Hey really great to hear your son is into it and i love the picture of the just painted Maverick ,it's at one of my favorite stages of fixing a car up, it screams fresh and new and what is yet to come. It looks like it will be a cool ride.:D:thumbs2:

    Mavs and Comets are lightweight 2 door cars ready built for a smallblock and a stickshift. Whats not to like? But seriously, everyone needs to Xnay on the avericknays before it gets out and they start getting rare and expensive. Talk about Moustangs and Shlameros some more.
