I have 2 batteries in the trunk and am now wiring up the track required kill switch. My questions is on the mounting. Has anyone ever mounted one on a plate that maybe could swing up under the valance? I am hesitating cutting a hole in the car and looking for options. There is a chevele in this months car craft that looks like the switch can swing up and away when not at the track. Ideas? Scotty P
kill switch I saw a neat switch set up, mount a rod type switch behind the taillight, when at the track remove the taillight and connect the rod when on the street remove the rod replace the taillight you don't even know theres a switch there. mine personally will be mounted where the gas cap goes.
I like that. Have never removed the tail-light, can't be hard! You must be planning a fuel cell? Scotty P
fuel cell yeah, I'm going drag only with my car fuel cell, gutted interior, cage, the whole nine yards I'm gonna try something different with my kill switch insted of the switch handle you will turn the original gas cap, one way on other way off! it will look original except above the cap it will be labeld on and off!
the gas cap idea is nice, though if you run at a NHRA event, be advised that the rules state that it must be in clear view and accessible. Again, that's just NHRA stuff. NHRA=No Hot Rods Allowed!
