reverse ligts

    ok so i put on a floor shifter and now my reverse lights dont work not even if i have the colum shifter in reverse any ideas as to what it may be

    no idea but was that floor shifter pretty easy to install?

    oh yeah jsut cut a hole and 2 bolts and it was in probly less than an hour for it to go in

    Mine too. Theres some wires we didn't hook up to a switch in the shifter.
    I haven't found them(or looked for them) but they're there and it's an easy fix.

    What year is your car? Some years have the reverse light switch at the bottom of the steering column, along with the neutral safety switch, so if you played around with that stuff, thats a good place to start.

    The power for the reverse lights is also fed from the light in the radio, so if you've done anything with the stock radio....

    Like a kickin CD deck with color changing screen and 22 presets and built in pre amp and equalizer with a detachable faceplate?

    Or an 8 track?

    rofl i dont have a radio in it just a v8 for music but that may be the problem i will check

    I can't remember, but I think it's a blue wire with a red stripe, power is fed to the radio light first, then to the switch at the bottom of the steering column. Strange but someone in Detroit thought it was a good idear.(as Paul Sr. says) :D
